5 Awesome YouVersion Devotionals to study today

YouVersion bible app is one of my go-to apps on my phone. I’ve used different bible apps and devotionals over time but none has measured up to it.

When I first got it I never used it for its devotional features cos I didn’t know much bout it but since I figured it out there’s no stopping me, I’m always searching and saving plans for later lol.

Finding a plan might be quite overwhelming cos there are so many options to choose from, where do you even start? You just want to read em all!

So if you need a place to start or you are stuck on which devotional to read or just need more to add to your study pile you should definitely check out these 5.

  • The Discovery: Exploring God’s call on your life (link here)

When I first started using YouVersion a number of people recommended this 35-days plan to me and I was really grateful, so I’m doing the same and recommending it to you too, definitely check it out.

My words can’t express how great this devotional is, I literally took a screenshot of everything I read.
Focuses on dreams and the courage to pursue em. A Lil motivational punch.

A practical plan to identify the threads of your life and how to intentionally weave them together for God’s glory and purposes (yes I copied it straight from the plans info but just cos it describes it perfectly)

  • 10 things to abandon for spiritual growth (link here)

This 10-day devotion looks at some of the spiritual baggage we often carry that keeps us from experiencing life to the fullest.

This is a year-long devotional plan unlike the other ones, it basically read your bible in a year. You can find other “read your bible in a year” plans, but I stuck with this one cos it includes a message/ devotion before the books which made it easier and better to read & understand.

You can download the YouVersion app from your play store, app store or you could go old school and access it on the web here.

One of the cool features it offers is the numerous bible version it has, so which ever you prefer and understand you should use. I personally use the Common English Bible (CEB) cos it very simple and clear but “thou, thy and thine” could be your thing so play around with it and do you.

We can all agree this post is a Lil different from what I usually do but I just wanted to drop it for someone who may need it.

If you’ve any devotional, plan or app you would love to recommend definitely share em in the comments section!

Lots of love

I just downloaded this App a few days ago and I’ve been trying to find my way around the devotional. I’m currently studying the “Relax with God” devotional on the App and I was hoping to get a headway on what other devotional to try. I saw this post and totally fell in love with it. Thank you for sharing this and saving me from the stress of looking for what else to read. Will definitely come back to give you a feedback of the ones I’ve gone through.

I have studied one of the plans listed here, 10 things to abandon for spiritual growth, and I enjoyed it so much.
This app is a blessing, I must add, and I won’t stop preaching about how powerful it is. No more excuse of ”I don’t have time to study my Bible” no more. Also, I have blogged about some of the plans I have studied so far.
    Thank you for sharing!

Interesting list you’ve got here ( going by the titles and feedback of others. I’m not huge on devotionals but I’ll give it a try soon.
